:: Motivating Me #1

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Emerson.

The easy path to take in life is the path that is expected of us, but what we should be doing is taking the route that we really want to take because if we don’t we are not on our own journey!

Like everyone I am saddled with an element of self doubt from time to time, but deep down I am lucky enough to know what I want too. When I started the list I added items to it that seemed like impossible dreams, but impossible dreams are only that if you believe them to be as such. The beauty of being a true dreamer is that you also know that dreams can become reality and the reality is that if I really want to do something (#101 Do a base jump) I can. In life I believe that action always beats inaction.

Action – book a static line parachute jump that opens the door to the world of freefall that opens the door to flying like a bird!

Inaction – wake up tomorrow and pretend that I didn’t even have the thought.

This is inspired to some degree my a man called Jeb Corliss who in all honesty I am not in a rush to follow. But I guess apart from being amazed by this, I was also inspired by these words “the proper function of a man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall live them.”

Motivating me (static line parachute jump booked). Lets see what a motivated man can ultimately achieve!

Motivating me may become a bit of a regular feature. I’ve always liked reading quotes that inspire, so it might be time to use those that do to help write the script for life. We’ll see!
